Charles Brown was one of the classic bluesmen. He started as a contemporary of Nat King Cole and had a number of hits in the 40's. Two of hits biggest hits were "Dark Night" and the coolest "Merry Christmas Baby." This session was in his home in Oakland. A gentle sweet man. He passed away in 1999.
