BLACK CROWES
New Orleans
This was a private show for Columbia Records at Tipitina's and I was the only photographer. I must have annoyed Chris Robinson because he gives me the finger and sticks it in his mouth, I start firing my camera thinking yeah tons of great images. I get one shot, then nothing. I look down and this is the 37th shot on a roll of 36. I knew this had to be a special picture.
The Black Crowes represent everything Rock and Roll should be. Bluesy, crunching, flamboyant. Great guitar licks! I wish there were more modern bands like this.
