JOHN CIPPOLINA

The late John Cippolina was the lead guitar player of Quicksilver Messenger Service. He played with this strange amp with horns sticking out of it, (which is on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame). Their version of Mona was awesome. This image is the what I strive for as a photographer. It captures something I can't pinpoint, the soul in his eyes, the contrast in the blacks and whites. Whatever it is, this is a powerful image, even if you don't know who he is!
